accending, descending scales
Ok, I know how to play scales (hopefully)
but i'm out of idea of to play them (not straight forward like A B C D E F G A B C...)
exemples that i already know and play:
Eminor
G------------------------------------------------------
D-----------------------7------------7-9---------7-9-10-- and so on..
A--7-9-10----7-9-10-------9-10----------10------------
E-------------------------------------------------------
or
E--20-18-17-15----18-17-15-14---17-15-14-12----15-14-12-10-
B-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
( I separed notes to see the partherns, but I play all in 8ths or 16ths)
can anyone help me? thanks

what do you mean? i dont get it...
E minor isn't a pattern of frets, but a sequence of notes formed by intervals:
E F# G A B C D E
W H W W H W W<<interval steps, whole(2 frets)and half(1 fret)
that means the scale of e minors notes are located all through the neck, i can type up the whole 24 fret scale if you like
do you understand the concept of modes within scales and stuff? if not and your wanting to learn ill upload some stuff to here on them for people to view

he means he's bored of playing straight scales and he wants new ways of practising.
like he could try hammering all the notes at each position instead of picking them, then and a tap.
all i know is the Cmajor scale, so an example

Deifiler - , I know my scales ands things. i dont want to create riffs from that (i can)
i just want ideas how to accend (Sp) ( "climb" ) the scales. to play them NOT in order
damn i cant explain.
look at my example on top, play them, maybe you'll see what i mean.

u want patterns, dont you???....i guess that u wanna learn ways to go up or down a scale but not straight, he wants to variate the notes....///kinda like this?:
e--15-12---------------12------------------------------------------------------------------------
b-----------15-12----------15-12-----------15-12--------------12-----------------------
g-------------------14---------------14-12-----------14-12---------14-12--------------
D-----------------------------------------------------------14-------------14-12------
a 5 pattern.....//am I right dude?

Learn some new, really crazy scales. (mostly classical scales...they go all over the fret board and use mroe than just W-H H-W stuff.) or you can make up runs that go all up and down the scales, try going up in one scale and descending in another scale, find some arrpegios and learn to sweep pick.
