Should I change my guitars neck?

I have a GSA and I plan on puttin an RG270 neck on my pretty Ibanez....
I like the neck's feel cuz it has no concave....Should I switch necks?
Is there a chance my precious ibanez would be spoiled and f-ed up?

if your gonna do it and ur worried about fuckign it up then get it down prefessionally if its not way to over priced if it is do a lot of reacherch on how to do it (even though i think its just un screw your old neck(since your changing it im assuming its a blot on) and place the old on in its place) hope it goes well

No, I wouldn't unless you wanted to. Since it's (probably) a bolt on, I doubt you could do much damage to the guitar body itself. I'd get someone else to do it for me(like guitar_demon said) if you were really that worried about messing it[guitar] up during the process. Good luck if you decide to change it.

are those both the standard neck pockets? If one's an AANJ, and the other regular, it's not gonna fit properly.

well I checked the back of the Ibanez RG270 body where the neck is bolted on and they look like the same structure as the Ibanez GSA60.

squared off? You'd probably know pretty quick if they were different...

If they aren't (different), it should just be a direct fit.

I have a chart and here are the differences. Not much. Just thought you might be interested in the 'differences'.

NECK MODEL - GUITAR NECK DIMENSIONS/SCALE LENGTH - WIDTH AT NUT - WIDTH AT LAST FRET - THICKNESS AT 1ST FRET - THICKNESS AT 12TH FRET - RADIUS

GRX/SA/GSA - 648MM/25.5" - 42MM - 56MM - 19.5MM - 21.5MM - 240

wizardII - 648MM/25.5" - 43MM - 56MM - 19MM - 21MM - 400

the only difference that will count would be the shape of the heel. I would suggest going onto Jemsite.com and seeing what those guys say. There a quite a few professional techs there who will tell you exactly what you need to do, whether or not it will work, and whether or not it's a wise idea.
