Can the bass be dropped to C
I have always wondered if bassists drop down to C. If they do wouldn't it sound too floppy the string. It would be like elastic bands.

They would just have to buy thicker gauge strings, to keep tension and sound right.

Let me change my original response. Typically bands that tune in C don't sound very good.
I Wrestled a Bear Once is one example.

get a five string and tune up. if you have little strings it doesn't jack with the neck. That's what my old bassist did when we used to tune to C standard. Then we had a guy with a four string that tuned all the strings down...and honestly I don't remember it being too bad.
But now we tune to B and have no bassist....or second guitarist.....

its sounds muddy if you drop it down to a C and bands that use them are the ones that cant play together lol use a stuido and a bass drum for that if you even need it

I'm sure it can be dropped to C... but it would probably sound like an elephant with diarrhea.

Arch Enemy's bassist is useless.
