yeah it does sound a bit like sanitarium. mainly the beginning harmonics. But really, almost every song has another song that sounds kinda like it.... so dont worry about it. Just try to add some unique shit if possible.(not easy i know)

its an acoustical song, he most likely played it with a pick just by the tone he got, and you can easily tell it was alternate picked, considering like i said before, its an acoustical song.
