wats yolls opinions on esp guitars i was thinking bout buying kirk hammets sig. strat model but never played one and wanted to kno wat yoll think bout that and esp in general

considering ive never played one, I dont know. I think the viper series or whatever are kinda cool. Um.. my friend had a BC RICH warlock and he traded it in for an ESP. He traded the BC RICH in for this one(attachment). I kinda trailed off there for a few seconds. Oh well... Id say go for it - if you can afford it. I looked at some of the kirt hammet sig. guitars and wowzers. 4000 and something dollars for a KH vintage.

yeah, they are pretty sweet, I played the KH, not the vintage (I hate it when they make a new guitar look old)
the esp's are all really neat (not the LTD one's!!!) but are fucking expensive, the KH has an original floyd rose and shit, but the jef haneman signature has a kahler tremolo!!

its really expensive BUT go to guitar shop, try it and see if you like it

none of the guitar shops carry the kh thats why i asked only way to get it is to order and all they have is LTDS that have les paul like bodys i dont like those.....

That Hanneman signature costs 3825€ here and KH-2 costs 2830€. Is a kahler relly that good/expensive ???
And, why would anybody buy a vintage guitar ???

Yeah a kahler is even better then a floyd, I played on both models, the sound is pretty similar, both have EMG's, I also played the Moreno model, that deftones dude

that guitar also has a killer tone....

I would go for the hanneman model, I loved it, but I'm a fulltime bassist, not a guitarist, however, fucking around with guitars is fun...

I have an ESP 7-string its the gothic model The sound isn't exceptional but it isn't bad by any means I don't really like the guitar but that's probably just because it's a 7-string. The other guitarist in my band plays an Ibanez 7-string so I kind of have to use mine cause it sounds like shit when I drop my Warlock all the way down to drop A. I'm a 6-string man myself.

Piper man...any guitar that has to do with Kirkis gonna be god ! HOWEVER! They sell an expencive and a cheap verison of the ESP Kirk Hammet LTD. although there is a conciterable price difference it would be well put to but the newer one b/c the cheap one is actually a regular LTD guitar with the skulls on it. So go with the nice one and you'll never regret it. ((P.S~If your interested in the ESp also check out the nice custom Gibsons since they own ESP and are very nice guitars!))

Have you EVER compared the ESP to the LTD?

if you did you would never recommend the LTD man, it sucks compared to the ESP on, the pickups are EMG-hz (read: cheap emg's) and it's korean or something, not american, the finish is much better on the americans and so is the sound. that's why the american ESP's are so damn expensive.

buy american! It indead cost a lot, but is you have the money, you'll have a fine guitar!! But, yeah.. urr if you have money that is!

Yeah setdown, I tried those guitars with Michael, he wants a lefty ESP but that's gonna cost him dearly!

for that kinda cash, I can think of many guitars I'd rather own. (Ibanez Jem, UV, Jackson Soloist, Framus Diablo Custom, hell, I could get a custom built axe for that money...)

Yeah, you're right, for those ammounts of money you can get a custom guitar with a Kahler and EMG's and shit.

the Ibanez's are pretty sweet (Ask Setdown, he uses Ibanez) but so are the jacksons.... I think the 'signature' model thingy crap around it costs you loads of extra money, it's all about image.

american Jackson are NICE!! the dinky 27 for example!

Once I bought an F-207 Korean....the model was pretty cool an I liked the sound....but at that point I didnt have idea there were better guitars....I mean the American version...ad when I played an American EC-100, i think, I was pretty amazed and pretty deceptionated by the other one.....so I sold it hehe....

ESP are good guitars...but there are betters in my opinion....Jackson is a good brand....I´ld like to have a dinky....fuckin awesome guitars....//
