bc rich warlock
what do u guys think of the warlock? when i first saw it i said "Man i wanna get that fukn guitar!" and when i sat down to play it was so uncomfortable to play. its shape makes it akward to play and u cant really rest ur hand on it. i guess it just looks cool

Well, your not going to be sitting down with that kind of guitar, but yeah it does feel uncomfertable, but it is a nice guitar and doesnt sound bad either it actually sounds pretty nice.

the warlock's cool. It's one of the best looking guitars by bc rich. Except... some of the guitars look 'fake' , plastic like, exspecially the 'red' ones. I've never sat done a played one, so I wouldn't know if it was comfortable or not...

my warlock is very comfortable playing sitting down...but i NEVER play sitting, i hate it. This christmas, all of my money/girfts are gonna be put into my warlock. Im thinking about putting an EMG-81 for the bridge and an EMG-85 for the neck, and im gonna get an original floyd rose bridge and a fernandaz sustainer. This guitar is gonna always be tuned down 1 step ....i think that warlocks (n.j. series) suck when you dont fix them up, or at least mine does.

Well, which red ones are you talking about? The tranparent red maple quilt top or the Acrylic Series? The Acrylics, they come in red, black, clear and lime green. I've only seen one clear warlock. I love mine. It is a 2000 NJ model painted satin black with black hardware. That was the last year they were painted that color. The others are gloss black, that I do not like because they are too shiny. I'm saving my money to buy a USA hand made warlock. Nothing beats a hand made BC Rich.

i got a warlock bass, it's comfortable sitting down with, standing is fine, the only bitch i have about it is where they put the little pegs at both in the back so it really doesn't balance itself too well

I would say the most uncomfortable BC Rich's to play are the Jr. V and the Beast. I think the Warlock feels like a strat-style guitar when played sitting down.

I think it might have been the acrylics, but Im not sure. It was just plain red. Had a more of an orange 'glow' to it though.

I know. I hate it. (no offense - but I just do). It does look cheap, and I think it costs like 100 -200$ over here, which is kinda cheap. One day , I'll hurl on it.. *nods* or beat someone up w/ it.. and hopefully someone will say "who beat you w/ the ugly stick?" and they'll point to me.. ah yes.

Hahah, nice one killingismybiz, Warlocks are nice but some of them are ugly as hell liek the ones ur saying. My friend has liek the cheaper Warlock without the Widow stock head and I dont care for it. The Customs are pretty nice though or the HAnd Made ones something like that. ---- Warlock------ Haha there goes that one shitty plastic looking warlock. That's what I want to do to one of them is burn it.

Ah yes, the Blood Red Beast--I don't particuarly care for that one. I like the black with silver bevels. I also don't care for the acrylics. The only wood on them is the neck which is maple and rose wood. they are basically a Bronze serice made of plastic. They are not worth it. I thing any head stock other that the Widow looks terrible on the warlock.

They both kick ass but the Mick T. Warlock has a better feel
on the neck and the bridge

They use crap wood for the imports--Bronze, Platinum, New Jersey. The american Hand Made use Mahogony, Ebony, Maple, Rose Wood and a slew of exotic woods. Hence why they cost $3000-$5000 approximatley.

When you go the website, look under Handmade, at the top of the page. Most handmades are Quarter Sewn and Bird's Eye Maple, others are Mahogony. The neck-thrus also have Rose Wood stripsbetween the neck and wings. And Basswood and Chesswood are members of the Maple family of trees.
Check out this site for additional info on the woods used

YO! I rock on my new trans red N.J Series Beast! I have a warlock too...they are both rather good guitars. BC Rich is a great company with good support of its customers. If you but one of their guitars you will love it! BC Rich guitars are however definatly not made for sitting. They are for the more experienced gigers and all who play standing and rocking. I suggest getting it though!

I think I might get the Limited Edition Platinum Beast. It has large diamond inlays, string-thru body, and black with silver bevels. Yeah, BC Rich kicks ass.

I own a BC Rich Warlock, and I have no problem with its size or shape, It has a nice sound, and the wood is fine ( A little sketchy on the fretboard... though ).
It has the Widow headstock, I dont mind the pointed headstock, At first I thought It looked crap but upon closer examination, I thought it looks cool.

BC RICH - WARLOCK
I've got a BC RICH PLATINUM SERIES WARLOCK ('86 MODEL) runnin through a MARSHALL AVT100. The guitar is a good one....being a 86 model i mean, the new ones ARE made out of shit wood. Mines made out of rose wood. The warlcok is probably one of the best bc rich's designed. The shitty things about it are that the strap peg things are on the back of the guitar, so when ya sitting down it fuckin rips ya chest open when ya havent got a shirt on! Ya get use to the aquard shape of the guitar when ya sit down. The pickups i've got on it are two dmarzio humbuckers which give off a very heavy sound when plugged into a fuckin beasite valve amp.
When i first got the guitar i had to get the thrust rod adjusted and a new jack put on. But apart from that it's fuckin fine. It's got an extra switch on it, which im not sure of what it does....either cuts off one humbucker, or turns it into the sound of a single coil pickup......which i think is bloody stupid due to that it's a metal guitar! The one other thing on my guitar that shits me, is when i use the whammy bar. It goes out really quick! i think that it should have a fuckin floyde rose bridge on it...which would do great tthing for the whammy bar.
Btu yeah.....that's all the little shitty things about teh warlcok....apart from them it's a fuckin mad ass METAL GUITAR!!!

my cheap (price wise) mick thompsom signature special warlock is fine for me. it feels like a strat sitting down and is totally comfortable. now with the pick up change into an active EMG 85, this thing owns. my band worships this axe. and harm is done usually from the other band mates if some one drops it. i dont really care much if its dropped cuz theres already chips and shit in it.

I dont like the Warlock with a widow heat stock. I think the widow stock is to pedestrian and this one makes it look sleaker. Heres a pic of mine.

alot of people complain about the strap button on the top horn poking them in the chest while sitting. simply get a set of jim dunlop small strap locks and countersink the flush into the body. add a drop of liquid nails into the hole than screw that bitch in!!!! your buttons will never come loose again.
rock on fuckers!!!
