help with pickup mounting
hi,
i just got two EMGs for my warlock,
mounted them and just started wiring,
when is noticed that the two rings, in which the pickups themselves are mounted
were not parallel to the body of my guitar, but a bit lowered at one end, to better fit the strings, i guess
i did not know this before, so i can not remember how they were aligned..
so can someone tell me where to put the lower side of the rings, and thus the lower side of the pickups ?

Isn't the "EMG" letters supposed to be closer to the bridge
or else they'll be upside down

What two pickups did you buy ???
You maybe have an answer for all my problems. I want to buy a Zakk Wylde set but my problem is number of knobs. Zakk has 4 and I have 2. 
And on KH21 set they packed 3 and I still have 2

With that problem, you might just wanna go out and get a guitar that already has EMG's in them. I was thinking about buying an ibanez RG570 a couple years ago and then just putting in EMG pickups (boy would it sound sweet) but noticed also that guitars with EMGs have 3 knobs when the RG only has 2. So since that would have been to much work, i bought a jackson instead.

well when you buy the EMG's don't they come with extra knobs? and it woundn't be that hard to go to you local guitar store and have a tech install it.

The knobs itself are not the problem.The problem is that if want that extra knob I would need to drill a extra hole in my guitar and I wouldn't like that.
I already own a Jackson guitar and don't want to change it so i want to mount that pickups into it.
I e-mailed a EMG technician, and he told me that I can rewire them on two knobs. He sent me this picture (attached). So from left to right: a 5 way switch, one volume knob, one tone knob, but what the hell is that thing on the right, that has three wires connected to it ???
