BOSS Pedals?
I was wondering, are the BOSS pedals better than the digitech pedals? Also if i get BOSS pedals, are these pedals good:::
1.) BOSS NS-2 Noise Suppressor
2.) BOSS OC-2 Octave
3.) BOSS CH-1 Super Chorus
4.) BOSS OS-2 Overdrive/ Distortion
5.) BOSS TR-2 Tremlo( what does this pedal sound liek, liek what does it do)
6.) BOSS BF-# Flamnger( what does this pedal do)
7.) Steve Vai Bad Horsie 2 Contour Wah
8.) Holy Grail Digital Reverb
Please let me know if those pedals are pretty god and arent cheap because i'm thinking about buying alot of those besides a couple. Also, do you know if the Marshall MG100HDFX and MG412 Slant Cab Package on www.Musicians Friend.com is good or shitty because it's cheaper that all the other half stacks that marshall makes. Thanks Alot!!! Hail!!!

I recently got a Korg AX1500G multieffect. I can recommend it for people who want to have a basic setup of effects without the need of hundreds of stompboxes. Do yourself a favor and try some multieffect units before buying a bunch of Boss pedals..

Well the thing that i dont liek about those is that you will have to go searching around for the effect and I dont want that I just want something where you just go & hit what you want and know where it's at.

I like analog effects better, I have 4 boss pedals for bass, an eq, distortion, compressor/sustainer and a flanger.
Digital effects are ok, but I think they sound a bit crappy, our guitarist has an AX100g and he's always fucking around with the settings and shit...
Boss pedals are also really strong, you can throw them into walls and they still won't break, durability at its best... I don't know about digitech pedals, they look alike but are still rip-offs.

i also have the ax100g and it fuckin sucks. well not that bad, but you can't combine effects or shit. and you can't save the fuckin effect that you set-up, it always goes back to the presets. shitty shitty shitty!

With the AX1500G you can use several effects at once and it has about 50 user definable patches. It's quite nice acually

Yeah, the ax1500g is nice, but the ax100g and the ax1g suck ass...
the 1500 is also made of steel and not outta fucking plastic, and it has a descent expression pedal too... but I just prefer analog effects, though it does sound pretty good.
a flanger is pretty badass, especially with a killer distortion on a bass

Personally as many other ppl i prefer mxr they have true bypass kai their building
quality and sound are by far better than the massive products of boss.By my experience i have both mxr zakk wylde overdrive and boss sd-1 and the mxr is dead quiet, warm natural sound and more overdrive. But if you want to have something from boss then go to http://www.robertkeeley.co.uk/ they aremakeing the best mods on several pedals and many famous player like steve vai and satriani bought from there stuff.Personally i will sell my 2 overdrives and i will buy the modded tubescreamer via the store they have in ebay
Ppl don't get stuck with the known stuff search a bit more ask ppl
(boss pedals i heard aren't the half good as they used to be on the past)

Heres my take on a flanger sound:
ever watch old wwf videotapes? in the big arenas, when the commentators weren't talking you could often hear a jet engine-like swooshing sound - thats what a flanger sounds like.
