Tube Amps!!!
I have a question? What is the difference between regular speaker amps and the tube amps. Also, are tube amps way better or does it not matter?

i think there was a thread liek this a while back (actually i remebr several ) but i have no fucking clue the difference go to amp websites im sure they have articules on them all i know is that tube amos sound the best just be4 they blow out

Tube amps also have a warm fuzzy sound, they also tend to be louder than solid states. A friend of mine as a Fender De Ville 60W that tears the shit out of his Marshall half-stack 120W that's a solid state.

tubes amps may have cleaner sound but they also need alot of maintenance
when ur tubes mess up, better getting Valve amps because you don't have to buy those hard to find tubes.......
Amps like the Crate Gx900h simulate a tube amp but its really a valve amp....
And tube amps are quite expensive, they range from about $500-$1000

OK yeah thanks for the tips man. I probably wont get a tube amp becauase I dont want to have to keep replacing he tubs and shit in them. I wasnt a marshall half stack but it's 800 bucks and i dont hve that much money right now so I'm going to get a crate 100w amp for like 400. Do you think a crate will be ok if i get a 100w or a 120 watt one?

Get the Crate GX900h Amp which is a 90 watt amp,
also you'll need 100 watt cab which are not much approx.
$200-$350 depending what brand you get (I req. Crate cabs
which are 329 bucks which support 120 watts, I think)
The GX900h amp also have badass Distortion, which of course you
play metal making this an amp for you.....

Well now I found a Crate Full Stack for about 860 dollars. I think I'm going to get that, the head is 120 watts and the slant stack is 120 and the straight is 100 watts.

Yeah, I know Mesa is alot and my parents wont buy me it so I'm not going to get enough money it's not like I'm rich. But yeah I'm probably getting a Crate Full Stack for liek 890 I think it's somewhere around there. The Crate Full Stack I'm getting is the Crate GX1200 Stack W/GX1200H & 2 4X12 Cabs. Go to www.AmericanMusical.com Look under amps then go to electric guitar amps, then look under Crate amps then go to page 2 at the bottom. Tell me what you guys think and if I should get it or not, because I dont have much money and I thik my parent might pay about 3 hundred of it.
