I think Sepulture did a pretty bad job since max left, second comes not no forget metallica. They're not bad but it's nothing compared to how they used to play.

I would have to say Symphony X are the biggest fuck ups..... mainly cuz they dont build enough on their music...... too many songs structured the same. Instead of writing catchy riffs, some songs open with a solo, and then have like 5 more after that. It would be cool if they actually wrote catchy riffs for a song, and then had 1 guitar and 1 keyboard solo that had more thought put into it rather than just having be a show off point.

Tristania screwed up too. As long as they have the 3 vocalists, they will stagnant their band. If the get rid of the growler, they will really go much further..........

Tristania has a generic sound, by having to put growls in every song, they are really gonna keep a repetitive style. Their guitarist also does some growls. he should growl when necessary, and then they can ditch their growler vocalist.

Limp Bizkit are fucked up because they went to Highland High School--not one of the best high schools on Albuquerque. Yes--the same high school that Beavis and Butt-Head (which were based after Albuquerque teenagers)went to. Their creator went to St. Pius X and based the teachers after Highland teachers. For Deicide, the started to suck after Once Upon the Cross. Spultura after Chaos AD. Metellica after they kicked out Dave Mustaine, and started sucking even more when Cliff Burton died-- I'm sure he's turning in his grave. Fear Factory were never that great to begin with. Obituary when the did the Bullituary re-mix. And Morgoth who went alternative after Odium was released.

thats true, up to V: The New Mythology. The Odessey blows IMO. I cant believe how bad it is. Although, maybe it can be related to the fact that Romeo wrote most of the music, instead of Romeo/Pinnela, like usual. If Pinnela gets back with more of the music writing, they should be in good shape.

However, i still think that they should try to write catchy intro/interlude riffs, instead of just filling those spots with solos.

Yeah Pitchshifter sucks ass now, but some of the really old shit is pretty nice, they sounded like fear factory but with more industrial beats and shit.
(something like that, don't know how to define them)

I sometimes wonder why newer work get worse then the older albums, it's pretty weird but most bands just seem to rot away slowly whilst other are just bringing out better albums

IMO, all bands seem to get better with newer releases. Anathema, Amorphis, Moonspell, etc.

The only exeption I can think of is Theatre of Tragedy. I like their new stuff, but I wish Raymond would sing more. Aegis is my favorite album. Sadly, i bet on their next album, Raymond will not sing at all, and their music will basically sound like Britney Spears with distorted guitars.

to me Amorphis is crap compared to their oldest stuff ...same as Moonspell...just compare Wolfheart to Darkness and Hope

i dont have all the albums, so the only comparisons i can make are Am Universum and Tuonela to Tales From the Thousand Lakes. "Tales....." has good keyboard work and piano, but I like newer way better. As for moonspell, i can only compare "Darkness..." to "Butterfly Effect", and "Darkness..." is way better........

it does suck how almost all solos are gone from Am Universum........

if you like older Moonspell, chack out Daemonarch. it has the exact same Moonspell line up, only its like they never had a style change.

Pantera didn't fuck up. They had a couple of misfires on Reinventing The Steel, but I'd hardly call that fucking up. Expect them to either come back really strong for another album, call it quits and pursue their million other projects, or not come back at all.

Gigantic Penis how can you say bands get better with the more releases they put out...maybe you won't get all these references but how about A) Cave In, they used to be spastic chaotic hardcore and now they're this terrible space rock band. B) Glassjaw, the used to be one of, if not the best, hardcore band on the planet in terms of recording and live show, but their new CD just bores the shit out of me. C) Misfits, after Danzig left and they kept playing, they turned to shit. You can't say that bands get better with each release...only some do, other honorable mentions for what I was saying above include In Flames and Slayer (then again, it's hard to top Reign in Blood)

I have never listened to Cave In, Glassjaw, or really any Misfits at all. Also, its opinion. I like more keyboard infused techno metal, or more mellow stuff. Thus, newer Kovenant, Anathema, and many other bands, i like better.

I hate hardcore music (Hatebreed, Maruader, etc.)

The only band I listen to that doesn't use keyboards that I can think of right now is Obituary and In Flames. However, IF has a lot of keys and samples added.

Any other keyboardless bands i like are mellow, like Katatonia and Anathema.

Basically, its opinon.

I can say bands get better, and you can say bands get worse. its all opinon. just remember that before you get upset when someone says their opinion.

next interview i read he kept saying supercharger was back to the roots, more trashy, more oldschool, bullshit like that...what a prick

2. sepultura
sepultura are headless without max, and max went crazy without a proper body it seems..he became fuckin arrogant, not the max that was with sep anymore
(come on, shows that go 45 minutes, no additional songs played)

3. fear factory
R.I.P. after demanufacture..last good thing they did..............obsolete was ok, i could take it...don't love it, but like it...but digimortal was weak...oh the horror..they ruled back in the days *sigh*

4. maybe in flames
they said in an interview they reduced their more complex melodies cause they want to keep it straight (sounds like fuckin radio compatibility to me).

5.carcass
i don't hate their "newer" stuff. i hate new machine head stuff, but i simply dont like the late carcass stuff.
necroticism was great, one of the best of its kind, if not the only..those eerie, twisted melodies that always were one note off completely deliberately...incredible

reinventing the steel was my least favorite album by pantera...it lacked a lot of dime's talent on guitar and it was all too simple sounding....and the album didnt have as much intensity as their previous ones.

Uplifting was tolerable...
It Makes Them Disappear was really awesome in some parts, but kinda dull at others.
I'll Cast A Shadow, wasn't bad for a while, but I got tired of it.


The album was alright, but there's nothing exceptional on it, far as I'm concerned.

But they are human, thats like a black guy bieng in the KKK. Another reason why thier stupid, and they suck live. I have seen them twice and thier sound clips that go threw the hole song fuck up thier sound, the drummer isnt fast! He has pre-recorded double bass. Watch him play and his feet do not match the tempo. His bass only does that gay techno beat. Also on the snare, i was watching and a few times the blast beat would start before he hit it...
