I payed around $900 for it, and if you're interested in purchasing it we can talk about a selling price once I've officially decided to let go of it. Its a Jackson SLSMG Soloist.

A friend let me borrow his Tele to record some clean parts for my album and was first struck by its absolutely incredible clean tone. I then wanted to see how it would hold up with metal and decided that, while it does do a good job on its own, I would probably install an EMG for some extra bite. I was also encouraged about the ability of a Fender to have a good metal tone because I've seen what great bands using them (Cryptopsy, Isis) can pull off with it. Besides all this, that guitar plays incredibly well and I'm able to execute some tricky/speedy things with surprising ease. Also, sometimes, you just get a inexplicable connection with a guitar. It just feels 'right' with you. Now, ideally, I'd love to keep my Jackson and have a Tele but I can't afford to do that. I'd hate to let go of my Jackson, but change is good. Still haven't decided yet.

In other news, check out this documentary on the Westboro Baptist Church. You know, that infamous hate group that pickets dead soldier's funerals and the "God Hates Fags", "Thank God for 9/11" signs. Horrible shit, but incredibly interesting. I feel more sad for them than angry.
