I recently went to an extremely intimate Richie Havens concert. It made me cry, haha. Bought the new album and met the man afterwards for a chat and autograph. Truly a hero of the sixties for me.

We got about a foot of snow last night and it's still going. I ended up missing my History class because it took an hour to get my car cleaned off and driveway shoveled out. I figured I would make it to class on time, but the road conditions were the worst they've been all year. I fucking hate snow!

so i almost got seriously hurt today!

for those of you who dont know, i got to school for plumbing.

so today we were in shop, and starting a new project, or wraping up the last one. The people next to me, had their 1/2" copper air tested and holding at about 200 PSI (fairly large project to hold that much) and before you dismattle it, you have to take all the air preasure out. HOWEVER, the dumbass just put some heat at the guage valve to remove it WITHOUT taking all that air out, and BAM! fucking guage goes flying thru the air and missed the back of my rib cage by not even an inch! at this point, long story short, fuck wit almost got thrown out.

Yeah, the freezing rain that came afterwards is what fucked everything over. We still have winter storm warnings until 7am tomorrow. If I got a 4wd truck, i'd still have to worry about the idiots who drive half the speed limit no matter how bad the roads are... and i'd still have to get snow off of it and shovel my driveway afterwards. And who cares about being safe these days anyway? Humans have been going completely out of their way to die for several years now. But regardless, I do miss my truck! we get a few work terms every now and then and back at her!

our school and the union have a nice thing going. once we are out they give us 1/3 of our hours (the course is 2000 hours) and after 3 months the union give us the other 2/3 and we get bumped up too 2 year rate! and can challage 2nd year block!
