Bands tuned to D-Standard

Could anyone recommend me some metal bands (preferably death but I don't really mind whatever!) that tune to D Standard. I really hate re-tuning my entire guitar to jam to one band for a few days and then having to tune it back to play to some classics.

I guess I'll start off with some bands I already know like

Death
Decapitated
Synergy-era Extol
Vital Remains

Any help would be awesome!

Children of Bodom (when they were good)

Dimmu Borgir on Storm Blast (I don't care what most of the metaltabbers think..that album is amazing)

Finntroll

Chaos A.D. Sepultura, maybe more...I dunno

not any death metal, but fun bands to jam to...especially sepultura.

I think Suffocations first album was tuned in D and some behemoth is also tuned in D i believe.
Other bands would be:
Wintersun, Mithotyn and Insomnium thats all i can come up with now.

Immortal plays in D on "Sons of Northern Darkness."

Dimmu Borgir also plays in D on In Sorte Diaboli.

Napalm Death, I believe, plays in D. At least on the two albums I've got (The Code is Red and Smear Campaign).

And I may be wrong about this one, but I think Venom played in D on "Metal Black." Could be C#.

You mean Black Metal? I don't have it right next to me but I highly doubt they detuned their axes.

Dang. That's like my weak point, and it's so weird. I can usually hear a note and know what it is usually, but for some reason if I've just listened to a band that plays in B-standard or drop B, it throws me off a half step. It's like I've gotta re-tune my brain by listening to someone tuned to C.

D-tuned Behemoth:
Satanica
Thelema .6

Before that it was E, after that they went into C# - Zos Kia Cultus (except for As Above so Below, guess that's in B or even A#) and Demigod (you know, that one crappy album everybody loves, even though it really, réally is crap, and everyone only can tell the first 2 tracks apart, together with Qonquer All cause they have the riffs that don't sound TOO alike, FUCK Demigod, and FUCK your opinion if you like it any more than say, Zos Kia Cultus).

I think since then they went lower with each album (D, C#, B, ...) so they can keep doing the same without exàctly sounding the same (cause the many 0's sound a semitone lower/higher). I do think Christgrinding Avenue (you know, on that 2nd album with "where'smybassamplificationorightforgotIdon'tneedthatshitlOLOLOLOLOLALLAHUAKBAR"Orion) is still in C#.

Also:
Arghoslent and INFERNÄL MÄJESTY, Melechesh, newer Sodom, new Toxic Holocaust, ...

Kind of like Vader.
Not surprising since their guitarist is in the band

just to add to this....

In google, type in "drop d tuning" or "E tuning" or whatever your looking for but add the word "WIKI" after it. Wikipedia is compiling a list of bands (a lot metal) for each tuning. I usually just pick up whichever guitar (diff tunings) i feel like playing and go through the list along with my collection. Good Shat.

You should check out Exodus' Tempo of the Damned album... standard D or drop C...

I used to tune to standard D because of the band I was in, but as soon as I quit I tuned back to standard.
