w00t n00b attack... but whats the diff in Power metal and death metal? Im sure this has been asked a million times but ive never really heard them differrentiated between till i got here

Waah! You must be kidding... Of all the comparisons, power metal and death metal are like chalk and cheese... which is appropriate because power metal IS typically cheese metal. Think Manowar and Hammerfall. Gamma Ray. Jag Panzer. That kind of stuff. Ride the wind bollocks.

Death metal... well, take your pick. Like Carcass, Morbid Angel, Vader...

What's in a name anyway? There are plenty of death metal bands that have no imagination and suck ass for teatime...

I cant believe this is a question. Maybe the boy's been told power metal is black metal or something. We can only hope. Though Manowar has a STRIKING resemblence to Domination-era Morbid Angel. And both genres are VERY similar in that the majority of the bands in each is shitty and unimaginative to an extreme not seen in other metal genres.
