I have a quick question. Can your intonation go off on just ONE string? I figured that all the strings would go at once. But my high e string is way the fuck off. It's almost half a step off haha no clue when it happened I never noticed it until last night. Any clue? I know how to adjust it myself I just haven't HAD to do it yet. and was just wondering if it's normal for just one string or all of them

ya only one srting can be out, but once it is set, it shouldn't just all of a sudden go out on you like that.

Well it's probably been going out and I just haven't noticed.. but in the past like 2 days i've changed the tuning like 20 times on the guitar so I'm sure that made it worse..

If you've got a floating bridge, the saddle could have sliped.

I think midnight doesn't have a floating bridge but a fixed one, right midnight?

maybe your 'nut' has worn out (lots of downtuning and intensive playing) <- that sounds like you.

another option could be worn saddles on the bridge, but that would be pretty extreme, but it does happen, but it's more a problem on basses then on guitars.

maybe all that downtuning just fucked up the overall tension on the string, if you change your tuning a lot it is bound to go way off once in a while. I think it's just the bridge saddle of the high E string though.
