The big question, who in your oppinion is better. I have been into black metal since 1994 so I have been listening to it for a long while, and personally if I would have to choose I would say Burzum, the music is great, the lyrics are great and he walks what he talks unlike the other 20000000000000000 or more black metal bands.

i can partly understand the ppl that say they hear the music and don't mind about the attitudes of the musicians, cause i love dissection, despite the singer murdering a gay foreigner.... i read about the incident, and came to the conclusion that their singer is not necessarily racist, though i am still in doubt....

I own two of Burzums cds : Aske and Filosofem... Aske is musically great despite the fact that vargs vocals are horrible... Whats up with his "ZIZ IZ WAR! WHOAH!" on his War song?

Filosofem is better than Aske , it is very melodic and has better sound quality..and the vocals are much better...

Now , i don't agree with Vargs neonazi philosophy and the fact that he killed Euronymous pisses me off..yes yes i know there was a fight between the two but imagine if Euronymous killed Varg instead...

Mayhem here. Deathcrush and De Mysteriis Dom Sathanas (the latter of which ironically Varg played bass on!) defined the Norwegian style imo. However, Burzum was great during the "Aske" era.
