We need to secure Iraq as an independent nation until they are ready to defend their selves from outside forces (like Saddam's former troops. Saddam took over Iraq when it was very modern, and then shat on the people of Iraq. Things won't be fast but we can't rush, but if we rush out then it will just be another generation that will have to continue fighting for us. Maybe some of you think there will be more ways anyway. All that said, Iraq is not a major threat. Saying that we have to keep making the same mistake because we decided to start out down that path a few years ago because bombing Afghanistan gave us a hard-on and Iraq was just asking for it in that dress and those shoes is stupid. There is no nation-building here. There is nothing but war. We would all survive if we pulled out of Iraq. We're not fighting for our survival there.
