Differences between earlier and newer ampeg vh140c

Anyone know about gain low mid high and overall distortion? The only thing that i know about these is that the earlier version have eq on the top and the newer on the bottom. Someone can help, Thanks.

Some say the older ones are more reliable - less prone to one of the power amps blowing out. Whether this is true or not, I do not know.
