I don't even understand the novelty for these kids. Seriously, I was like 4 years old during the height of popularity for the NES and other 80's kitsch, and while I fully understand it, that's only because my family was poor and behind the times (and because they showed reruns of Transformers when I was 6). Most of the kids who love this shit weren't even born when this shit was going on. Don't get me wrong, I can see how they could appreciate it in the same way that I can appreciate the 60's pop culture lampooning in Austin Powers or the 70's in the Starsky and Hutch movie, but to build entire shows, movies, and now music on this 80's retro fad is WAAAAAAAY overboard.
By the way, when it comes to this style of humor, X-Entertainment.com > Family Guy x 100. Especially the TMNT and WWF stuff.

Really? Fuck... they are one of the few unique bands in the current hardcore scene. It took me quite a while to realize how good they were. Try taking another listen? I dunno, they aren't for everyone... obviously. Personally I just can't stop going back to every freaking release they've ever put out.

I don't mind their first two major albums and the Pizza EP, but the newest album didn't do it for me. I like that they don't take what they do seriously at all. Makes it semi-enjoyable.
