Assuming that it really is just someone being obnoxious and don't know they are being obnoxious... IM'd me on an old screen name which goes to my phone, so that was awkward. Answered his questions about Jackson guitars and then ignored him.

I'm still just ROFLing the thought of getting spammed via cell phone about Jackson guitars.
Found a really good old school DM band the other day from Texas named Crucifix, never put out a LP but their demo "Barriers" from 1992 kicks ass.
BTW Darko they didn't have that outside parking lot at Ameoba at first... they put it in around 2004. Before then you had to park around or underground. The great thing about the underground parking is blasting your new CDs there when you play them the first time.

I'm just hanging ( )around hoping this forum will unlame itself.
Or at least a small amount of less lame like a year or 2 ago.
Perhaps a futile wish.

Dunno. Maybe it just lost its zazz. Seems like it became slower around the time Infinity was banned. Scary to think he's the cause, which is unlikely.

I've been getting bot telemarketer calls and texts on my cell phone for a couple of months now and while my gut reaction is to be surprised, I'm actually kind of surprised it doesn't occur more often for cell phones, especially in recent years when we've seen them nearly replace landlines completely.

I've listened to their 1993 demo (forgot what it's called) and thought it was pretty lame but I tend to trust your musical tastes so I'll give their other stuff a listen.

I wouldn't doubt it for one second. He was a master of getting anyone and everyone's gears grinding, and while most of us wouldn't want to admit it, he was one of the most influential members on the forum.

It's the Dean Leaner character from one of my favorite tv programs, Garth Marenghi's Darkplace. All 6 episodes can be viewed on youtube.

I was referring to Phil's vocals though His performance on that album is exceptional if you ask me He's gotta have a 3 octave range on that album if I were to guess.

I agree. I seen Pantera several times and so long as Phil wasn't completely wasted he did a wonderful job as frontman. Sadly I think he might have smoked, drank, and shot himself up to the point he is retarded now. I can't stand to listen to him talk about things today.

Anyone know/listen to The Human Abstract by chance?
One of my really good friends that I hung out with yesterday may very well replace one of the guitarists next year Didn't know they were as big as they were though, so I'm pretty happy for him! He's a fucking sick guitarist.

Yes, please keep that in mind! College is a guideline/foundation for your career choice, it doesn't absolutely guarantee your ultimate success.
That doesn't mean don't try, obviously, but if you fuck up there's a million other options, one of them being to just repeat the year.

Tell me about it. It's like they're trying to create slogans with every song.
Oh and I'm back from Panama City. Awesome time!

its definitely tongue in cheek, thats the thing. but it goes so far that its not even tongue in cheek anymore, its serious all of a sudden. its honestly puzzling to me, where is the line drawn between self-deprecation and being serious?

Goddamn rap fucking cunts, fuck them and their dirty hos.
I really don't get it either, don't worry. They're these really dumb guys that can be pushed around by big time producers as long as they get paid. They do whatever they're told to do, appeal to the public, and then get abandoned and blow all their money... then they become actors...

i bet theyre not really that dumb. nobody as unintelliglbe as lil jon would ever make it in any kind of business, not to mention have the market-saavy to appeal to 15 year old white girls and 20 year old black dudes at the same time

I can't quite get into Akercocke. I like a lot of what they do, but I also don't like how they structure somethings, and some of their vocals bug me.

Their first album is kinda weak, but yes, everything else is amazing. I'm quickly becoming a fanboy.

Yes, it was a success. It was me and two best friends, one of whom was on their first trip as well. Me and him both took 2.5g just to be on the safe side and the third friend took 10.5g. Needless to say he was off the wall. It was amazing. We ate them at quarter past 8pm and from 9pm to about 2am all we did was walk non-stop all around the neighborhood and to the town reservoir, which was simply beautiful. I didn't get any hallucinations, nor did I expect to on such a conservative dose. I did, however, get CRAZY changes in perception and appreciating little things that we normally walk by every day without paying mind to, like for example the pattern on a manhole cover. I read the circular text that read "sewer" and said that it looks like it says "answer" at first glance but there's a missing piece to it (get it? a missing piece to the answer). At another point, two friends were up ahead of us in the street about 50ft from where we were standing, but they looked like they were MILES away, the size of fleas. I was pretty prepared for the experience having been reading all I could on shroomery.com and erowid (of course) in the weeks prior. Be smart and prepared mentally and don't even dwell on the possibility of a bad trip before taking any drug because that's often the very place where bad trips are bred. This was just my little hurdle I had to get over for me to feel more comfortable with shrooms for experiences to come. the thing with taking a bigger dose for the first time is that it's so powerful that even if the environment is all good and everything, it just wields out of control and you forget you're on a drug that will wear off.

Glad you enjoyed it. Wish my first trip was as easy, haha. What was weird is I didn't expect much but then it took me by surprise. I suppose the stress I was under did me in. I went into it with a level head, watching Reno 911 and The Office after eating the cakes. Then everything slowly became too intense.
And I've looked in DMT and know the basic facts about it from Joe Rogan (search Joe Rogan DMT on youtube to find out for yourself). I'd try it once, but the problem is it's expensive (for a extremely intense 5-15 trip) and damn near impossible to find where I live.

That shit actually sounds like it would be fucking awesome to try. For those of you who want to read about what the trip is like, go to this page and scroll down to "NOTES ON THE VISUAL STAGES OF A DMT TRIP" (about half way down)

I can't see the point of talking about (personal) drug and alchohol use at lenghts, but then again, I don't drink heavily and haven't done drugs beyond the odd sharing of grass and shrooms once.
I guess I'm too much of a control freak to like being too far from sober

If you're looking for some easily obtainable pyschs buy some RC(research chemicals: 2c-i, 2c-b, 2c-e, DMT, etc) online.
I have 1 1/2 ounces of weed right now.

I haven't smoked weed in about a month. I just wasn't doing much anymore. Plus, I'm looking for a new job so no weed until that task is done. Hopefully I'll get high as hell like I used when I do. But goddamn an ounce and a half sounds delicious right about now.
