best string gauges for tuning to c

hey... i've heard that having thicker strings helps with playability when tuning down to c... do any of you guys have suggestions for gauges? thanks

I use 9's and 10's when at C sharp and don't have any problems, so I think one more half step wouldn't be too traumatic...

I never fucked a 10, but one night I fucked five 2's.

c's are a half step higher than b, so i'd say either 11's or heavy bottom, skinny top 10's

52-11 or a 54-12 should be right for C. thats with a trem.

for a guitar with a fixed bridge, probably need 56-12, or even a 58.

I hate using different strings for different tunings...its a bitch with the floyd rose system to change strings so i use a 52 on mine when i have it between 1 and 2 steps flat and it still has a nice sound to it

To get C I use 12`s and an additional spring in my tremolo
to hold their tension.
