Dimarzio D Activator X?

Has anyone tried or heard these yet?

They are said to be a hybrid of an x2n and a D Activator but the tone chart lists them as having more mids and less treble than either, and a much better clean than the x2n, although I'm sure most buying them aren't worried about a clean sound.

Was thinking of trying them in a mahogany bodied Ibanez Iceman.

Heh, I'm thinking of getting a mahogany bodied Iceman, which has D Activators as stock pickups.

Are you sure they're the X type?

I was not aware of these, i have an x2n in my charvel and it whales. i tried an ibanez xiphose with the d activators and i loved them. So mixing these 2 should be pretty nice. I would'nt mind giving them a go.

Mine is the old IC 400 reissue...looks exactly like a classic Iceman, its not the new one with the D Activators.

Right now it has the Ibanez AH pickups in it, which I actually kind of like, but I'm sure with them being stock pickups there has to be some room to upgrade.
