i was jamming to some pantera one day( album official live101 proof)
and i was notcing how he uses his wammy bar and scrapes and some other wierd sounds to kinda lead off to other verses and parts of the song instead of just jumping rite to it(like me)

any help on how to do this on getting the rite sounds or useing the wammy rite or anything to help me lead off to other parts of the song instead of just jumping to it would be greatly helped and appriciated thanx

well im not 100% sure what ur talking about caus ei dont have that album but a lot of times he uses his whamyy bar to get really high pitched notes this is down by slightly pushing down on the whammy bar while picking a note then placiing ur finger over one of the fretts as if you were going to do a natural harmonic(in mot sure if he picks it agwin after this try it and see what happens) then he pulls the whammy bar all the way up and kind of wobbbles it back and forth and for the scrapes just try diiferent stuff like scrape but kind of do an up down motion (almost like you were doing vabrato but with the pick ) hoped that helped

ive tried a diffrent method of getting "dime squeals". i find that if you push the bar down, then hit a nat. harmonic then pull the note up you can get some mad fuckin screams outta your guitar that way.

thanx for the advice earlyier ive been practicing alot but im still not getting it before i read wat yoll put i thought i had it i was fretting the string between the pickups and matching the sound but the sustain wosnt long enough and u cant woddle the wammy bar with out deding the sound so that was shot out of the water so i tried hitting harmonics like yoll said and pulling up but still not geting it i have a few questons like when yoll said



why push the whammy bar down and wat harmonics are yoll hitting before you pull up (the ones between the 2nd and 3rd?)any advice would help thanx

any harmonics it just depends on how high you want the note and as far as pushing the bar down fisrt thats what ny guitar teacher said so thats what i do

for a start, im not havina go, but piper, can you learn some basic punctuation please?

pushin the bar down causes your strings to vibrate, so you wont need to pick the string also it allows you to then rise the note higher! weeee!!
