Gorath | Misotheism
Gorath have just released their third album "Misotheism". Produced by Reinier Schenk (Paragon Impure, Demonizer, Fleshmould,...), mastered by Dan Swanö (Dissection, Opeth, Katatonia,...). "Misotheism" is a concept about heresy throughout history, mythology, legend and lore.
* CD + limited T-shirt: €20 postpaid. Worldwide.

Eisenwald (Drudkh, Angantyr, Infaust, Loits, Vinterriket,...) will release MISOTHEISM on 12" LP at the end of 2008. More info will follow later.

I still have to check out anything next to the Fourth Era, which was good, very good.

Okay I've finally got myself to go check the songs on MySpace, and it's like what I've heard on The Fourth Era: brilliantly riff-laden. The only thing that's slightly bothering me, are the drums, they don't come through enough, or is this MySpace's fault?

I'm extremely pleased by the drums. Finally real organic drums. Perhaps not loud enough for you, it doesn't bother me at all.

On a side note, do you have an idea when the new Ikuinen Kaamos will be released?

I checked the Descent Productions site and myspace and they didn't anything about ending. I wonder what's keeping Epilogue. I believe it could one to the greatest progressive metal albums ever just by the 3 songs on Ikuinen Kaamos' myspace. It could give Watershed a run for its money.

I've listened to it in its entirety now, over at someone's house, and indeed the volume of the drums isn't bothersome at all. They sound very nice and 'attacking' (okay what in hell happened to my vocabulary), but I guess I'm just a fan of loud drums
Come to think of it, most of the songs were actually quite incredible for the whole of their duration, I'm buying this one sometime.

Money. I hope DP will ever release it. Talked with IK about trying to find another label for the album, but main man Jarno seems to have found peace with the situation.

So there's a possible release in the near future?

New Album “MXCII”
Gorath have booked the Shumcot Studio in order to record the successor for “Misotheism”. The band’s fourth album will be entitled “MXCII” and will contain seven deadly revelations. At this moment it’s undecided which label would host the upcoming release.
LP release “Misotheism”
Eisenwald Tonschmiede have set the release date for “Misotheism” for the first part of 2009. Besides a red/brown colour 12” the first copies will hold a limited special edition. Also note the artwork will be slightly different. Any labels interested in releasing “The Fourth Era” on LP should get in touch.

Yeah but we're talking Gorath here bitch!
Hm, I know it's out of proportion, but would Kerry King have to post his shit in the "post YOUR band" topic aswell? (just honest wondering)

Um I may be missing something, but after listening to a few songs I see nothing special about Gorath. Pretty much standard black metal for this age.

I agree. I don't like black metal, but they're an actual successful band, so no I'm not going to ban him or have the thread locked.

Last year Descent Productions quit most of its activity as a label. At this moment the German Eisenwald Tonschmiede will take over part of the distribution network and will take care of spreading "The Fourth Era" and "Misotheism". Labels and shops interested in trades and wholesales can get in touch with Eisenwald. Next up is the special edition 12" vinyl release of "Misotheism" on Eisenwald, set for the first part of 2009.

The wait is over! Gorath inked a multiple record deal with German distro/label Twilight Vertrieb (known for their work with Endstille, Koldbrann, Belphegor, Sarkom, Darkened Nocturn Slaughtercult, Bliss of Flesh, The Monolith Deathcult and a lot more). Gorath's fourth one, MXCII, again is a concept album all about local history, facts and religious items - All seen through the eyes of the heretic. Mixed at Shumcot Studio by Reinier Schenk and mastered by Dan Swanö at Unisound. The release is set for early 2010.

Good work, as N. said, quite a lot of DsO-influence!
Too bad Aosoth couldn't show up at Hasselt

Gorath albums continue to be almost impossible to find a copy of in the US. You can currently get CDs and LPs from Ominous Domain.
