Jackson, WTF?!
So how many of you are wondering where the 2008 Jackson guitars are?

I'm not wondering about jackson's 2008 stuff cuz it will probably be about the same...I'm wondering when I'll get off my lazy ass and change the strings on my stealth ex since I broke them whamming like crazy a few weeks ago...got to love having multiple guitars though!

I've actually heard some cool rumors about some new models. Like an RR5FR, an RR% with a FLoyd, sounds pretty badass to me. I just really hope they get some cool stuff, I really don't like Ibanez or ESP too much.

Everybody's put out one cool model recently...
BC Rich brought back the Stealth;
Ibanez created the Xiphos;
Schecter's Loomis signature 7 string is badass;
even Dean's Rusty Cooley and Michael Angelo models are sick.
Now it's Jackson's turn, I really do hope whatever they come with will be cool.
(Sorry I didn't mention ESP, don't know them too well.)
OFRs and good pickups + low price = in our dreams I guess.

Jackson actually upgraded their licensed trems on the 2007 models. They are like Floyd Pros, they actually stay perfectly in tune. Not many people are aware of that. I've had my RR3 for about a year and a half, and it's never given me trouble.
They need to make more guitars with fretboard binding!

My 2007 DKMG's trem is awesome. Best Jackson trem I've ever owned. It has binding too

yeah man, seriously Jackson trems have gotten really good. They just need to make an RR with binding, RR1's don't even have it....but I may get a Pro series soloist soon....they have binding as well!

I'm not sure exactly what year my Jackson Soloist SL-2 is, but i know it's definitely before 07, and the licensed trem fuckin blows. Constantly going out of tune. Whenever i get a decent amount of money to spend, i'm just goin to get a whole new trem. It's not worth dealing with that shit.

My Japanese year 2000 Performer Series PS-2's trem was terrible, and the trem on my KX10D (2002.3 or soemthing) was shit as well.
If the current Jackson trems are good enough for Helmuth from Belphegor and the hammering he gives it, it'll be good enough for anyone.

I've really taken a liking to the low profile Jackson trems, and my next guitar will be an RR5FR, which has an original FR...which isn't low-profile, so I'm kinda doubting it...is there really a difference? I like low action.

I'd like to see some more cool body shapes rather then same-old rehashes with a subtle differing paintjob or hardware.
V's, that explorer type body shape, etc. It's all still done by Gibson in the 50's/60's?

they used to make firebirds and explorers, but Gibson sued them. The o0nly new shape they have is the Demmel V...but it's basically a razorback V, althought I believe the demmel V may have existed before the Razorback.....but new shapes would be amazing. They should bring back the Kelly Star.

SL2's are USA models so they have original Floyds, and there is a fixed bridge version too.

it's definitely an SL-2 and a USA model. i swear it has a licensed floyd though. I don't have the guitar here to check. I haven't played it in quite some time, so maybe i am wrong. I'll let you know when i find out.

If Jackson would only make a Kahler bridge equipped guitar again, like the KV1... I would buy it.

Ya, i played it a little at my bands concert last night and i realized how mutch i still like it, for a while i thought i hated ti haha. I don't know what came over me. i think it's becouse had 9 guage strings in drop C lol.
This is weird and prolly don't make since but when i play it acusticly without an amp i hear reverb lol. So i like to say the gyutar has "natural" reverb lol

is it fixed bridge or tremolo equipped?
I'm assuming fixed because I don't see how nine gauge and drop c can be working out with a trem.

oh....well, a lot of my trem guitars have kind of a reverb thing going to, I think it might be the springs...makes sense since reverb in amps is caused by springs too, or at least can be.

Good thinkin. I wanna buy a different charvel neck (one with teh shark fin inlays) that would make it look wicked. I've never seen a charvel neck with ebony though
