GuitarRigIII

I have a quick question regarding Guitar Rig III. I've searched the presets, lots of GREAT ones by the way, but I can't find a good, convincing synth sounding preset. Is this possible? I've searched google a bit to no avail.

I'd like it to sound kind of like a nice sawtooth lead sort of sound, something to double my leads for jazz/death metal to give it a bit of atmosphere, won't be too high in the mix, just audible enough to thicken things up.

Any links/preset settings would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Sounds interesting, I liked GRII but I went back to Amplitube 2 after a while since I find it easier to coax good tones out of it. GR has a billion features and options(multiple cab type combinations + mic models and mcing methods for each? Wtf!) but it just makes tone shaping way more time consuming.

I might go download gr3 and see how they've improved it.

As for synth sounds I don't know, I don't remember GR2 having a synth effect available. Try the octave and fuzz effects in conjunction to see if you can get it to sound synth-y.

I'd recommend it. I'm getting a bit closer, there are just so many more options its taking the time to patch stuff together. I think you all will find what I'm recording/releasing pretty decent, a good mix of death/grindcore and some jazz (not as much calm as the voicings I'm using). A less talented, and less asshole-ish version of sleep terror.

Anyways, I would definitely reccomend GRIII, a lot of improvements, lower latency compared to II, and a nicer interface to boot.

hmm..intresting. But I havent used pc based modeling since my rig contains some decent shit now. I'd give it a try once I go recording again, it's always good to multitrack a dry piece through multiple amps, even if they are digital
