So I been getting more and more into leads and I would like to know what you guys think are some good delay and tone boosters to to give me a nice lead tone. Also what are some good eq pedal I might look into to tighten up my sound thanks

Not the cheapest or best EQ pedal out there, but I like my Boss GE-7.

Some people swear by their Danelectro EQ pedals, but I stay away from that brand. Still, pretty cheap by any standard.

Depending on how you do the settings, you can use a EQ as a boost when neccesary. Or you can get a overdrive, like a tubescreamer.
Id advice against it if you get your main distortion from other pedals though..

Things like delay, flange, wah-wah and shit are mostly just depending on taste.
I don't use them much..

i've been thinking about getting an eq myself. is there any real difference in QUALITY of eq pedals out there, other than the obvious functionality differences of 7 bands compared to 10 bands?

Is the quality of a boss 7 band the same as a MXR 7 band or a Danelectro fish and chips 6 band?

the dude at guitar center told me that the MXR was waaaaay better quality than other stuff, so that was what I had to buy. Based on this suggestion, I did not buy anything because it sounded like he was trying to upsell the most expensive model.

i'll answer my own question 5 hours later. just bought a boss ge-7 used for a good price from a guy off of craigslist. that thing makes a huge difference in my tone. and this is only after i've played on it for about 10 min.
