how do i get the death metal distorsion sound?
what effects do i have to combine?

personally, i feel distortion with a touch of chorus or reverb works

What effects are you using? If your looking to get something thats decent, price wise and effects wise get a Boss GX-700 . You can find a used unit on ebay for less then $200 and it's very versatile. Hook it up with a behringer fcb1010 footswitch(about $150) and you got yourself a kick ass rig.

depends exactly what distortion your after...

practically a lot of distotion, reverb and compression

then try these EQ settings (all out of 10)

HIGH : 7.5
MID : 6
LOW : 8.5

thats yer general DM sound

HIGH : 4
MID : 3
LOW : 8

dying fetus style

HIGH : 7
MID : 2
LOW : 9

your thrash style
