X2N into Jackson.

I have a Jackson DXMG and I am thinking about replacing the bridge pickup(EMG HZ) with the Dimarzio X2N. I heard that the X2N brings out the natural charastics of the wood that hosts it.(Jackson is made of Basswood.) Just wondering if any of you guys have experiance w/ the X2N esp. in a Jackson. What are your thoughts on it? My setup is DXMG - ISP Tech. noise reducer - Peavy XXX w/ Crate cab if this helps. Thanks in advance!

Thats wicked man. The EMG even though it is passive still has a bit of the EMG "sterile" sound, just looking for something to add a bit of warmth and depth.

a dimarzio X2N also has more output compared to a emg. The X2N makes your pinch harmonics squeel. I love the pickup. In my seven string I have a dimarzio X2N-7. Also great sounding. You can't go wrong with an X2N

That was another thing I was wondering about, I can do pinch harmonics fine w the emg. Their just kinda dull and lifeless. I think Im going to give it a shot.

X2N is brutal. I have one in an Ibanez. I also have EMG's in another Ibanez. The EMG's are pretty hot but the X2N is smoking. Plus, the fact that the X2N is passive... combined with a decent body generates a warmer smoother like tone than an active pickup in the same situation. Also, this should go in the gear section.

Just installed the X2N, this thing rules! Still need to fine tune the distance between the pickup and strings. Thanks guys!
