Rory Gallagher
I know he's not metal but.....
Personally I reckon he was fantastic. Very, very underappreciated. And he was Irish! Feckin' brilliant.
What do you people think about him and his work?

Not only that , but he was a genuinely nice person from all accounts.
I personally prefer the Irish Tour and Live in Europe '72 live albums, but stage struck is good too. Better than hendrix imo. He had a really subtle, intangible celtic sound to his stuff...kind of like how thin lizzy had it as well, and van morrison (Astral Weeks is the best album of all time)...see a pattern here ? lol

I like him, though I'm not a hardcore fan. I've got a few friends that are obsessed with him.. like in a scary sense. I never bring him up because the conversation will last for hours.

I'm betting they're Irish. Not only, that, I bet they're either from Cork or Donegal.

They're from Southern California and are Mexican and German/Italian. Pay up.

I never named a price........ *escapes*
EDIT: actually, that ethnic combination is exactly the sort of people I would suspect to be obsessed with Rory. I don't know why, but it seems to fit.
