Peavey 6505 cabs and Orange cabs

So i think im buyin a orange cab this week, and i have a slanted 6505 cab as well. Now i was thinking of possibly doing the x pattern of v30s and sheff 1200's. Has anyone ever done this? If so how does it sound? Would i be better off to sell my 6505 cab and get a 2x12 orange cab or something along thouse lines? Thanks for the help guys.
