I'd say ok at best. Hes pretty good but not that good. There are far better punk writers out there. (as far as meaningful lyrics)
He is good at taking serious topics and making them more light, or use off the wall metaphors to explain his views.

Is the only thing these guys do is play music and stand still? Even if i liked the music, this would be a boring show, as far as shows go.

Stand still? Watch the entire movie throughout. Holy shit man, this is about the first Death Metal song I like, this is awesome, even. Singer moves around quite a lot, does his job VERY adequate, and that bald dude has a reason to stand still, needs to stay behind his mic.
...But is there a reason why they never show the second guitar-player?
And who's singing? I always thought Vital Remains was that ape Benton, but it can't be him in this clip because I don't get the urge to kill him when I see the singer.

You need to see some bands that move around and get into the music. Walking back and forth isn't what i'm talking about. I'm not really refering to the guitarist cause obviously he needs to get to the mic.
Their actions don't reflect the music at all. Its extremely fast yet they don't move at all? It appears they're concentrating too hard on playing everything perfect like its a cd rather than getting intot he music.
I guess its i'm into thrash and not so "technical brutal" metal and punk that maybe i'm spoiled by good live shows and not thing.
Watch iron maiden or something as well if you want to see a live show. (not like the big eddie and fireworks or whatever) rather all the members moving around. Doing metal poses, the singer swinging across shit and jumping.
Darkest hour
Go watch darkest hour live. This is the calmest i've ever seen them. I've almost been hit in the face with the rhythm guitarists guitar so many times.
Fuck that last video. I know xgraf can agree with me with this song. For the soul of the savior. When they play it live they fucking play it way faster than the cd and its hard enough as it is. This song is probably 240 bpm on this live version. THIS is fucking rocking out.
DH 2
If the band doesn't get intot he music how the hell can the fans get into it? It seemed as though the Vital Remains guitarist that was singing was rocking out a little bit..

that second video is where i went for most of the metal shows while i lived down in south florida. basstendencies and i saw a numerous shows there.
yea, darkest hour certainly knows how to put on a good show. last time i saw them was at the culture room (in that second video, just a few years later) and they did all kinds of crazy shit on stage. also, hearing them (or any band) play songs you are used to hearing but at a faster pace is an awesome way to get people fired up at a show! i've never noticed a band that did it to the extent DH does it.

Wheni watched those videos and like 2 or 3 others i was seriously rocking the fuck out in my room. Got that adrenaline pumping and wanting to rock out at a show.

absolutely not. who wants to be reliant on a bunch of meds? the pills I was taking at first were 10 and then 15mg each and then they gave me these 20mg time release capsules. The time release ones still were strongest for the first couple hours like the pills.

yeah, meds suck, but sometimes you just don't know what else you can do.
Hmm, the proper way would probably to use the room to better myself, before I cut it out.
Once a day?
I'm starting out with 3x 5mg a day, and should be building up to 3x 10mg a day.
Today should be..hmm..2x 5, 1x 10.
Shit, those rebound effects are realy realy lame though, especialy if you are in a noisy bar.. me =

haha I know eh. I don't know who it was or who got stabbed. We were across the street at another house party when it happened. Fucking ridiculous. So many stabbings in this city. I assume it's due to the fact there isn't the availability of guns you see in most bigger cities.

True. Knives are probably the easiest (and most effective) melee weapon one can acquire. You can even buy a good knife at a dollar store these days. All my friends carry brass knuckles for protection, but I just carry my regular knuckles

Me and my friend are gonna shoot a music video for his school project. I need to buy some leather pants and fake horns. Last time I tried to get the horns they were out of them. Totally ghey.

Yeah i need to get back to running. I'm the biggest i've ever been. I weighed myself once and i was like 185 and i was in pure shock and terror. I'm starting to play drums again so that'll help.
Drenched in drumming sweat as we speak.. hah

I just got Firefox because I was sick of my old browser and while everything is running fine, for some reason I can't load hotmail.com. It just goes blank and says "Done" at the bottom of the page. I can still get there from IE so it isn't hotmail. Geeks?

Firefox sucks and is over rated. (although the new IE is horrible. I just hate teh interface completely. Telling me i can't have my menu bar on the top of the fucking screen.. kind of horse shit is that.
Let me think about it. Usually the things pop up in my head.
Try deleting internet temporary files, fully closing out of firefox and try again.

Anyone here played in a big school performance, like orchestra/rock opera/other shit you're just doing for money or requirement?
I'm fuckin' doing Tommy (The Who), but I only like a few cuts from it. It's pretty fun to play with cast & musicians but there's so much work to put into the damn thing.
I'm performing it 8 times and only getting $250
btw I use Firefox... and it works perfectly fine for everything (and more!)

You're getting about 30 bucks for each performance. How long is a performance?
I dunno, but you should be glad for getting paid in the first place.
For most people, music is a hobby, not a proffesion
Isn't performing and increasing your skill in itself worth some trouble?
Hmm, I'm shopping for a new guitar, and I'm kinda annoyed that the musical instrument market in the Netherlands is so fucked.
Seriously though, we're quite lacking in shops, and the few shops that are there have almost no choices beyond noob Fender Squires and such, and prices are just mental..
I was browsing musik-produktiv, and had my eye on about..15 different guitars or so.. and not a single one I could find in any shop that has it's stuff online..
But me and my mates are going to drive to musik-produktiv in Germany soon,
and I realy, realy look forward to playing this horny looking one..
