I'm going to buy a new pickup for the bridge of my old platinum warlock (us).

I want something a bit old-school and i stumbled across the Bill Lawrence l500xl pickup. Used by Dimebag in his early days and people like Stevie Ray Vaugn. The price is ok (90) and it's passive (which is one of my demands). I can pick one up at the local store here but I was wondering if anyone else has or had played one.

If you care to advise me other awesome pickups, dont hesitate

is it a Bill Lawrence USA or Bill & Becky Lawrence pickup? Anyways I've got a bill and becky 500-xl and a 500-r and the rock. Really good pickups for any situation where you need clarity and brightness. Full of harmonics and attitude. What kind of amp will you be playing them through? Cos they can sometimes sound a bit to trebly, but that can be dealt with by good equing
