I own the RM100. It's a badass amp that allows an unbelievable amount of tweaking. You can use just about any power tube made from 6V6 to KT88 or even mix different pairs. Each tube has its own bias adjustment on the back that allows the user to bias without a tech. Not to mention all the preamp tube swaps and cap modifications that can be done for the modules. In total, I have 14 tubes in my RM100 and its all MIDI controlled.
Right now I have my amp opened and I'm doing several modifications. The biggest thing I'm doing is upgrading the transformers to Mercury Magnetics. I should have the power, choke, and output transformer upgrades by the end of the month.
I love these amps

I have a question I usually use a distortion pedal when I do my death metal. Recording anyway. I'm looking at that Randall power amp and getting the following modules. Clean, Tweed, Plexi, XTC. I'm just curious should I use my pedal with the power amp or should I just let the power amp run on it's own cause I think live very few people can tell the difference.

If I may borrow this thread for a while: does anybody here have any experience with the RM50HB? You know the 50 watt, two module version?

Are you saying you want to use a pedal to drive the RT2/50 and bypass the RM4 preamp completely? Or are you talking about using a pedal to boost the input of the preamp ( the thing that holds the modules )?
Iron90: What is it you want to know about the RM50?
