OK, this question is about part 1 where Marty uses arpeggios over major chords. I know that you have to use the major arpeggio, but what i want to know is what is the best method of doing this. For example, should i memorize the patterns and just shift the patterns when a new chord changes, or should i learn the notes of the fretboard( i already know some of it) and think about which notes i will need for the specific chord. Or if there's a different method... If you can't understand me, tell me and i'll try explain it better.

you should memorize the patterns and shit. but also every guitarist should automatically be able to tell you the note of any fret on all 6 strings too. but really im kinda a hipocrite cuz i cant even do that bam on the spot so i shouldnt talk haha.
