Ableton 7 Live

I just downl..er, bought this program because I read its great for live performance and that Richard D. James uses it and now that I'm getting accustomed to it I have to say its pretty fun. Anyone here have experience with it? If so, does anyone know if its possible to rewire it to use audio effects from other programs (i.e. Cubase and FL Studio) to individual tracks?

it's more geared towards loops than linear recording i think. you kind of assemble stuff out of blocks and work on layering. the matching and warping functions i find really cool. great for electronic stuff or dj'ing, anything rhythmic that you want to mess with.

for importing effects, you should be able to use the vst and directx ones from your other programs. usually by default they're all stored to the same folder which is somewhere in your cubase folder. i'm not sure about the internal effect formats like .fx and stuff from fruity, although most of those suck ... there are better vst's to replace most of them.

do you post your music? i wouldn't mind hearing some.
