FL Studio Question Regarding Importing MidiDrums Done in Guitar Pro
Haven't posted here in quite awhile, but anyways. I've been writing a lot of tech death on my own in the time I still have left to myself, been writing the drum tracks in Guitar Pro since its easier to write complex rhythms in guitar pro as opposed to the piano roll in FL. Anyways, when I attempt to import the midi track into say...one of the drum programs like FPC, the track doesn't always import all the drums, or sometimes none of them. What would be the easiest way to do this? Ideally, I'd love to be able to have the DrumKit From Hell samples I have be of some use, but importing the midi track to the piano roll of each drum yielded HORRENDOUS results. Hopefully I'm clear. Thanks!

when you open the GP made midi file in your host, before linking it up to any sounds, do you see all the tracks?
i think you need to figure out if GP is fucking something on the save, or if it's just an incompatibility with your drum sequencers.

I think it may just be an incompatibility, but I'd like to see if there is some sort of work-around or setting that could be tweaked, if only to avoid the piano roll, ugh. Would also be useful for the bit of jazz I've been writing. Heh, hopefully someone can help me figure this out.

as a quick fix you could try opening the GP midi file in your host and resaving it. that should get rid of whatever settings GP has attached to it.
just to clarify, are the tracks not showing up at all when you open them in your sequencer, or is it just that there's no sound associated with them? and you're saying that batch import doesn't work, but you can import them individually instead?
and where does the FL piano roll come into all of this? i use FL every day and i have no idea what you're getting at. when you write drums in FL you use the beat map. the only time you need to roll it is when you change the pitch or the velocity, which you would always do after you've mapped it.

It tends not to import at all, in some cases, as was with cymbals and snare, the bass drum track imported fine. And regarding the piano roll, its a necessary evil to produce more realistic sounding tracks, as in having rolls, whole notes, etc.
