Buying first double kick

Hey guys I'm gonna buy my first double kick pedal in about a week or so once my student lone go's though. I'm thinking of getting a Pearl Power Shifter or an Iron Cobra but I don't have alot of experience in the field of double kicks.. Any suggestions?

Try Axis Longboards, like the one I used.
and some famous drummer, like Chirs Adler, Joey Jordison, etc.

You'll have to just try out as many pedals as you can, and base your decision on that. The Eliminator or the Iron Cobra are both really nice, but the feel isn't the same, so it's well worth trying them if you can.

Ignore clowns who tell you to get longboards. They're just about the only double pedal you don't want as a beginner.

And for the record: Joey Jordison hasn't ever used Axis.

I used some pulse piece of crap that I bought 2 years ago for 80$. You have to skrew it in good though and make a few ajustments, but other than that it still plays fast with good volume. If you are gigging then you need to mic it anyways, so that wont matter much. since you are on a budget I would reccomend it.
