Desperate Aspiring Guitarist NEEDS HELP!!!!
Hello, My name is Randall. Just stopping by at the neighborhood to see if anyone on the forum could give some help. Well, Here it goes. I'm a guitarist and my favorites that I would like to jam to- Yngwie, Marty Friedman, Andres Segovia, Al Di Meola, Rusty Cooley, Vital Remains, Deicide, Testament, Necrophagist, Megadeth...well pretty much any band/artist/albums that contains stellar guitar work. So I'm pretty much a SHRED MANIAC!!!! Problem is...guitar tabs on the internet are giving me little help.
Well, My Question is this:
Do anybody know any software or programs that can record any sound/music from the computer that has special settings that allows you to modified the speed(pretty much like slowing down the tempo or decreasing the speed that will help observe a song, while practicing out with my guitar, at ease.) Or any electronical devices that does the same particular thing?
If someone can help me, then I deeply appreciate.

Win Media Player will slow down the speed (without altering the pitch) but can sound retarded if you kick the ass out of it. You can comfortably knock 20 or 30 bpm off the tempo and not have too much loss.
Alternatively, many DAW's offer time stretching, but the same applies.

What you need is a program called Transcribe.
I used to use a Sabine BackTrack transcribing tool to do my tabs with and to learn licks, but I prefer this program much better.

Amazing Slow Downer
Amazing Slow Downer. Someone on this site has a link on their sig (thanks btw). Amazing program, it's exactly what you want. You can loop parts and you can even tune the song up/down so that you don't have to change the tuning on your guitar.
EDIT: That Transcribe! program is even better. Anyone know where to get it for free?

Oops! I use that version... Try downloading it somewhere else, then... I'm fine with this one.

It will still work after the 30 days if you turn your clock back before you run it.
