Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds
a friend of mine bought me murder ballads for my bday.
after the first spin is was a bit baffled, didnt know exactly what to think. Then I listened the entire album whilst reading the lyrics and it just got me by the balls. Super awesome, mellow, sinister lyriced music.
any other enthusiasts?

I love the man. I've got every album from him, and I've yet to be disappointed.
Nocturama's not that hot, but if you like Murder Ballads, check out Let Love In and Henry's Dream. His later stuff is more piano driven, but better in my opinion. No More Shall We Part would definitely be my favorite though.

I have a double cd of Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds that I listen to periodically. I got it on the advice of a Dutch friend. He's really good, but I really have to be in the right mood to listen to him.

Abattoir Blues is a different release, but its fantastic. It's a happier album than usual, but its really bombastic and well constructed.
