Crate GX-130C Head (bands that use)?

What bands have used or used the Crate GX-130C Head for recording or live shows? I know Cannible Corpse did for a while and I "think" Malevolent Creation did in their early years.

Anyone have any other bands?

MC has since the demo's used Marshall's IIRC, Most of the floridian bands used tube as well, with the exception being Cynic used some 3 channel SS crate heads on Focus.

I can't name a band other than CC, its probably due to the Crate Stigma, BUT the 130 is a decent solid state piece of gear, and if the Bloodsoaked album's tone is any indicator, it has some serious Cajones.

BTW Bloodsoaked your album is pure awesome Riffage

You used acoustica for the programming right? Masterfully done I might add.

yup, I used acoustica beatcraft for programing my drums and acoustica mixcraft for mixing the CD.

I used a V-Amp Pro for the CD guitars but I use the GX130 for live shows along with my custom Avatar cab...killer live sound.

Glad you like the CD dude and thanks for the support as I really appreciate it.

I'd say the gx130c was definitely unappreciated. With some eq it sounds awesome - very non-solid state to my ears. Very responsive and dynamic sounding. I'm gonna check out some avatar cabs so I can be more cool like bloodsoaked.

Oh just checked out your myspace... awesome tunes bro.

I have a really hard staying in time, so ive been using acoustica to keep my stoner ass in line so i dont start playing slower and shit. I was debating on using it for the next set of my bands recordings since finding a reliable drummer in Wisconsin that lives within 2 hours of you is insanely hard.

Hey label mate!! Jeff here from Creophagy. I have known alot of bands use this head all over the globe. But none that I can think of that has the rep like Cannibal. Its a good head and its has the same preamp circuit as the Ampeg VH-140c. Ampeg and crate were the same company for awhile in the late 80's and early 90's. I just got the Ampeg head and its great. I remember you using that crate at the Goregrowlers ball and it sounded sick!

What up Jeff? Yeah, dude. I love my head, I have heard that it is vert close to the Ampeg VH-140c. I was going to try and get one of those before I got the Crate but they sell on ebay so fast and I could not get one close to where I live. With my Custoemr Avatar Cab the head really does crush!

I think I might be playing with you guys when I come back down there with Steves band in a few months.
