Rig controlling with Guitar Pro

I recently wrote a brief article explaining how to use Guitar Pro to orchestrate patch changes with a MIDI based guitar rig, eliminating the need for any guitarist-intervention during a song; GP makes all the patch changes when needed.

After the initial setup, all that is needed is an extra track in GP that provides the points when to change patch, and which patch to change to.

There is a YouTube video at the end, showing it in action, and although it is Mac specific, the principles would be the same, providing you could find a windows equivalent of MidiPipe. Check it out, i hope some of you find it of interest, and it may spark an idea for other MIDI sequencing ideas

Cheers,

Oli

Interesting...

I'd like to get me a MIDI controller and start messing with that stuff. Sounds like what a lonesome (or experimental) guitarist needs.
