I have the same logic that you probably do for your car though... get a loan when you're young, get a good line of credit (car loans look really good when you pay em off), and pay the fucker off by the time you're 23 or 24. Plus, the monthly payment for me is like 320 bucks or something like that... so I could even pay 400 a month every time the bill comes, pay it off early, and have my credit go right through the roof Unfortunately for me though, I was paying 198 a month for some skimpy insurance policy for the last car... but now I have to have full coverage (car is on a loan) and I have a newer vehicle. Talk like 350 a month for insurance

Yea, I've been ranting on about those LP lawsuit copies for a while now and I'm real happy to finally have found a good one. I tried buying one a year back or so and it had been hanging off a wall for ages but with a terribly warped neck.

It's a bit lighter then the Gibson Les Paul Custom but the sound is pretty damn amazing, even compared to the original which I have here next to it. (not mine) I swear most people will not know the difference if you taped off the headstock.
I planned on getting a ZW EMG set for it but I can't get it over my heart to mess with it. It's like a fucking time capsule so I should keep it original.

It's kind of hard to find good info about these guitars but I can tell it's a '75 by the serial number. Sometime in '77 Ibanez was sued by Gibson. Mine is a Custom model as well but not with the earliest headstock design and a serial number. So one of the last of the copy's, probably of even beter quality then the early '70's model.
It even has the original super 70's sticker on the back of the headstock

I know it's not a Gibson but it's a real cool guitar for it's money and one with a story to tell. Actually to me this is worth more then a real Gibson Les Paul Custom which every bloke on the block has. But that's just personal, I guess.
