Easy Malmsteen
I'm learning Black Star right now, working on getting my speed up for the little fills and stuff. Does anyone know of any slightly easier Malmsteen pieces...or just Neo-classical shred in general?

For some easy shred check out Canon Rock by Jerry C. It may not be blistering fast or super technical but it's fairly easy to learn and sounds great.

I learned the intro for Ship of Fools on the Attack album, but there may not be a good tab for it. it's perfect if you wanna try some easier Malmsteen styled stuff.

that's actually really cool sounding. I'll try to get that down, then maybe some of Peganini's caprices...then I can try some Malmsteen

I recently began learning this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gKtWjL0SNnk
It's the battle theme for FFMQ, and he conveniently includes a link to the tab in the info section. It's an awesome little tune and has some shreddy parts.

Trilogy Suite Op. 9
Long song, pretty much all riffs in that song are easy and sound fucking awesome. It is fast, but playing it slow sounds great anyway, and you can work your way up from there.

I personally like ygnwie very much, but man, I can't think of easy riffs he wrote.
