Need a comfy guitar strap.
I want an inexpensive but extremely comfortable guitar strap, something wide like this: http://a293.ac-images.myspacecdn.co...461171e3584.jpg
What brands make nice and big comfy ones that don't cost an arm and a dick? Doesn't have to be leather, just super comfortable and wide. I have 2 dunlops which are ok but my Charvel is pretty heavy and it gets tiring with these straps after a while.

40 bucks for a strap? Get your mom to sew you one out of fun fur or something, haha...
Actually that's not a terrible idea. Why don't you just glue some sort of padding on the other end of your guitar strap?
I have one of the generic studded Levy's leather strap. It's really big, i picked it up for about 20, it's fairly comfortable.

Oh you cheap bastard. My $1,000 Fender Strat wouldn't be justified hanging in front of me with a nylon strap that's glued together

well MY 1100$ fender strat would, so take that. (vintage white as well, slapped some YJM pups in, i think that could've decreased the value)
but i don't have it, i have the same type you do, haha. Were i poor though i'd have the pieced together strap

Most Levy straps are leather or suede (if not both). The underside is usually suede and as a result grips your shoulder/shirt rather than sliding much.

My friend uses one that has fur on the bottom side, sorry that I can't provide you with a source but hopefully you can find one.

I got my dad to make me one in prison....the strap itself is only an inch and a half wide, and made out of thin leather. But my two main guitars are Alder bodied RR's...so they are relatively light.

Hmm I don't really want a gripping suede underside, rather something smooth and soft, do the ones with fur leave lint on your shirts or anything?
