Paul Raven has passed away.
Sadly, bassist Paul Raven passed away on October 20 from a suspected heart attack while he slept. Raven was 46 years old. The British bassist has played in countless bands, famously of KILLING JOKE and MINISTRY and among them Zilch, of which he was one of the co-founding members with hide of X-Japan.
First hide, now Paul.

Killing Joke being one of my favorite bands, this really put a damp on my weekend. It really caught everyone by shock, but when do these things ever not... heart attack at age 46, holy shit. I've never realized how many albums he played on until now. Paul's bass playing was subtle yet badass, always rock solid and truly one of a kind. In an interview a few years ago he admitted he was the "big metalhead" in Killing Joke. What else is there to say except rest in peace and thanks for the music.

Sucks that metal musicians are dropping like flies. Anyone have links to his bands and projects? Im curious to see what kind of stuff he played.

it's not what COULD have, it is what WAS the cause of death. Hearth attack in age of 46? Well, it happens (like to my grandpa, he was 48), but come on - rock musicans are the ones in GREAT danger of heart attacks, just becuase their lifestyle. I bet he got that attack because of drugs.
