HELP!
I'm recording some really brutal stuff. So I'm doing really low growls, and sometimes I'll do a higher scream.....and my recording stuff (audacity, and a wal-mart mic) only picks up the high ones, what would i need to do to get my br00tal vokillz in the mix? EQ? filters? I have no clue.

Get a new microphone, one that can handle all those lows. Most people here are probably going to recommend you a Shure SM58.

Any decent dynamic mic, a shure like the sm or even some of the lower end shures work great. A friend of mine has one of the 40$ ish Shures and does death metal vocals with it, and it sounds pretty good.

Compress the vocals - it'll bring the quieter parts out, and make the louder parts quieter, so it all sounds the same level.

Well the growls aren't quieter, their just....low. Another problem is, it won't do any good to get a new mic, because the only reason I'm using the wal-mart mic is because it can hook up to my computer, is there like a thing-a-ama-bob I can get for a REAL mic to do this? Plus If i add gain it makes a bunch of screachy black metal noise.

Yes you can get a mic preamp or better yet, an external USB/Firewire sound interface that has a mic preamp/input. All of the ones oriented for guitarists also have 1/4" ins for guitars(to hook up preamps or directly into it to use amp sim software) even have phantom power in case you want to use condenser mics too.
If you have Firewire get a Presonus Inspire, if all you have is USB get a M-Audio Fasttrack Pro.
