Ok, I'll swing another idea to you;


Me and my friend want to do something as far as playing goes. Since we don't have enough members to play at a club or whatever, or the demos to send out to get noticed and thus lack of credibility (if that's the right word for it), We figure we'd do something ourselves. Just a little thing, but it'd help us just to do something.

My friend's dad owns some property a few miles away, and the house is just empty, and his had said if we want, we could use that house to play. So here's the idea, and just so you know I'm sober and haven't smoked yet; Find a bass player, get either a drum machine or use the drum tracks off guitar pro as well as any keyboard tracks, mix them right, and use them as if we had a keyboardist and drummer (except we don't), get some monitors and mics, we have a mixing board, and get a little mini gig for us, and if possible some other bands that feel up to it.

I've worked out the pros and cons, I think, and while this could end up being a REALLY bad idea if even a probable one, we've got nothing to lose.

Pros;
1. It'd be fun (duh)
2. If we invite enough people, we could get our name out there
3. Some of those people could be other willing musicians

Cons;
1. If we did manage to find bands, they'd have to do it knowing they won't be being paid to do it; only profit from it is exposure, and this obviously ain't the best exposure for bands that have been playing longer than we have.
2. Most of the people will more than likely be friends and family, who have heard the music and either did like it (which is alright) or didn't like it but are just there to support us (which, I guess is alright. beggars can't be choosers).
3. If we served beer or alcohol, and if by some chance we start drawing a crowd, we'd have to hire someone or ask someone to volunteer to check ID and mark whoever was underage.
4. Money. Money. Money.


Think of it as stupid or a delusion of grandeur, but is it possible? Could you see it happening?

Bleach gets old pretty fast, it has way too many fillers, and really gets slow after the fillers are over. There are great episodes though.

Something similar happened to me last week. I had gone to sleep about 10 minutes ago (at about 2:00am) and then a group of 2 or three dudes from the room across the hall come walking around yelling and banging on all the doors and as soon as they bang on my door, I jump out of bed and jerk the door open and say, "Okay, what the fuck is going on?!?" and they all look at each other like a bunch of idiots and one of them pointed at my neighbor's door and was like, "my bad, I was trying to get Dan." in a little innocent voice. So I just close the door and don't even say anything as they'd gotten my point just fine. My fucking roommate has this problem with shutting doors too. He cannot once enter or exit the room without letting the heavy ass door slam loudly by its own weight, even at the deepest hours of night.
