the knowledge
you guys obviously need some experience with real guitars. the squier m-77 is from the 24 series. unlike their affinity brethren, the 24 series was made of superb quality. no joke. we're talking mahogany body, maple top, set neck, seymour duncan pickups (not SD designed) tonelock hardware. this guitar literally compares to gibson les pauls ten times the price. basically, this squier is to a fender what epiphone ELITIST is to gibson (which means a gibson with an epi label). as far as soloing goes, this guitar will handle very much the same way a les paul does. there is no floyd rose tremolo, no active electronics (barring some modification) but there is solid construction, excellent sustain and just beautiful tone. if you can get past the squier logo, this guitar kicks some serious ass.
but then again, isn't every metal guitar just a hunk of wood with a floyd rose and a set of emgs?
