Question for people with POD 2.0's...

Have you ever tried running PODs with normal pedal 9V AC adaptors? The pod also uses a 9V power supply and I think the connector is identical to say a boss pedal's, but I noticed the line 6 supplies say 2000mA while my boss adaptor runs at 200mA. Will any generic 9V adaptor power a POD?

I may just pick one up when I'm in the states next month and since the voltage over here is different it would be cool if I could just use my boss adapter to power it instead of buying a new power supply over here. If anyone has a pod and some other pedals, could you try hooking the pod up to the adapter to see if it works?

I have a generic adapterbut mine have a little slider to change the voltage I dont know if that makes a difference Its set on 9volts so i sure any will work if it has the right plug end.

Can you use the same adapter to power regular effect pedals as well as the pod?

You need an adapter that is rated for 2000mA.... I believe that you could just about get away with one rated for 1500mA, but certainly not 200.

Wrong voltage (V) or amperage (mAh) can damage your circuitry or cause it to run like shit. Make sure you have the right kind of power supply.

i wouldn't risk it dude. if you can find something with the right specs go for it but with electric stuff there really is no "close enough" i've fried pedals by using the wrong shit with them.
